Life at Vatry/Titan
Welcome to Vatry!
On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, Latitude moved to set up its new Titan testing area at Vatry Airport. Prior to that, we conducted our tests at SaxaVord, but this new location, much closer to our factory in Reims, brings us numerous practical advantages, including better coordination between our teams.
The Titan area has been specially designed to allow us to test and improve different parts of the launcher, such as our Navier engine. This move to Vatry marked a key milestone in Latitude’s development.
Access the Titan zone
To take a trip to Vatry? Here are the steps to follow:
⚠️ All requests must be made at least 48 hours before your site visit.
Notify your manager, as well as the Vatry site manager, Nicolas D or Jérémy V, if he doesn’t respond.
If the response is positive, you will need to sign the release form that authorizes you to drive a company vehicle. This form can be obtained from Vanessa Parisot.
TRequest a badge, please send your request to titan@latitude.eu along with your supervisor. Don’t forget to attach an ID (driver’s license is not accepted).
On-site, you will need to present your ID to collect your badge and this badge will be given to you by Nicolas D.
Displacement
The company provides 6 cars and 1 truck for trips to Vatry. Coordinate with the teams to travel with them.
For more general business trips, a car (Peugeot 308) is available, and you can reserve it via Outlook, just like you would reserve a meeting room. Please inform your manager for any vehicle reservation requests.
The entrance to the Titan area is at the following address: Impasse André Turcat 51320 à Bussy Létré, at 2 minutes from the airport. The travel time is about 45 min.
🥣 Lunch
For lunch, the testing area has a break room, which also serves as a cafeteria in hangar number 1. The room is equipped with a fridge, 3 microwaves, and dishware.
Equipement
For safety reasons, certain equipment is mandatory. Any work performed in the testing area requires employees to wear safety shoes, a helmet, and a yellow vest. As for visits, wearing a yellow vest, provided on-site, is mandatory. Shorts, skirts, and dresses are prohibited on the site.
